Beginner’s Guide to Commercial Solar Installations

One of the many aspects of owning a business is figuring out how to finance it and make sure it runs smoothly. Commercial solar installations are booming right now, and in this article, we look at some of the basics involved with installing commercial solar panels.

Commercial solar energy systems provide businesses and organizations with a renewable energy solution that can help offset their carbon footprint. Solar panels are an affordable and reliable way to power your business, and they can save you money in the long run.

Here are tips for getting started with commercial solar:

1. Choose the right system size. The size of your solar installation will affect both the cost and the amount of energy produced. For most businesses, a 1-kilowatt (1,000 watts) system will be enough. If your business uses more energy than this, or you want to generate more power over the course of a day or week, consider a larger system.

2. Choose the right kind of solar panel. There are three main types of solar panels: crystalline silicon, thin film, and organic (bio). Crystalline silicon is the most common type of solar panel, and it’s what you’ll find on most residential rooftops. Thin film panels are made from several layers of substrate that are then laminated together like an accordion; this makes them lighter and more flexible than crystalline silicon panels.

3. Find out how much energy you can produce with your solar panel system. To find out the energy output of your solar panel system, multiply the number of watts by the required amount (in kilowatts) for that portion of your roof.

Commercial solar installations can be a great way to reduce your carbon footprint and save money on your energy bills.
